Larry I. Kramer

Larry Kramer brought 20 years of finance and accounting experience to North Bridge Venture Partners when he joined in mid-2004 as Controller. Prior to joining North Bridge, Larry was VP-Finance & Controller for TWI Interactive, the $30Mil technology arm of the $1Bil sports and marketing giant IMG. Prior to TWIi, Larry spent three years as the Controller of NewsEdge Corporation, a $70Mil public company and leading provider of syndicated content solutions/services, which he assisted in its 2001 sale to and integration with Thomson. Prior to NewsEdge, Larry spent ten years at the $325Mil public mutual fund company The Pioneer Group ($10Bil in assets under management) in a variety of accounting and finance roles. He began his career with GE and GE Capital, completing General Electric’s Financial Management Program in upstate NY. 

Larry earned an MBA with honors from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Rutgers University.  Outside of North Bridge, Larry served 2006-2009 on the Boston Chapter Board of Financial Executives International (FEI), a 75 year old national organization of senior financial professionals, ran its Career Services/Career Planning Committee to help members in transition, and remains an active Committee member.  Also outside of North Bridge, Larry is lead singer and fronts a suburban Boston band which performs at charity fundraising events, most recently performing for a 175 person audience in February 2010 which raised $6,250 and for a 250 person audience which raised $7,000 for The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation (CCFA) in February 2009, along with a Medfield town public school fundraiser in November 2009 which raised $4,000.  Larry also spent the past year as part of CCFA's June 2010 Boston Take Steps Walk Organizing Committee in this successful $275,000 / 1,000 person annual fundraising walk event.
