In 2009, the North Bridge InfoWorld Future of Open Source Survey was endorsed by 15 industry leading collaborators and reached beyond the conference to include many new stakeholders in Open Source software.  Efforts to further expand the survey are underway and 2010 promises to bring more voices to the discussion forum.   This panel discussion will explore customer motivations for adopting Open Source Software; operational experiences with open source adoption – such as maintenance and cost control; disruptive business models and which market segments are being impacted; as well as many other issues impacting Open Source adoption in the Enterprise and Government.
